Does government support the people's welfare by providing a money-based economy, or do the people support the government with the fruits of their labor via a money-based economy? Ironically, the greater the percentage of the money-based economy which is taken by the government, the less the government is actually needed.
Consider: The so-called "need for government charity" is created by the government's consumption of economic resources, leaving them unavailable for the poor to acquire them in gainful pursuits.
