Another week of "let's hate on the Russians" has come to an end, so it is time for the weekly musical finale.
This week's musical finale goes to Mariah Carey. Her lip syncing fiasco on New Year's Eve was big news last week. But to be honest, I have never found her very musically interesting. She tends to scream more than sing in most of her songs. You can call it "melisma" or proper use of the "whistle register" all you want, mostly what she does is screaming.
In my opinion, her first hit, 1990's Vision of Love, was the only good song she ever did, and displayed her talent perfectly:
