Terrorism and the Great Debate Conspiracy: Today's news for September 19th

Over the weekend, we have had three separate incidents: one bombing in the Chelsea section of New York, a stabbing attack in Minnesota, and more explosives found at a train station in New Jersey.

Please forgive me if I don't care.

Mind you, I would be sympathetic towards the victims, but I don't know any.

I might be concerned about future attacks, but the possibility of a terrorist attack in or around Savannah, Georgia, is remote and irrelevant. Terrorists prefer high profile places like New York or Washington, with occasional stops in places like Orlando and Minnesota. Savannah has its own criminals with their own motives, so why worry about the motive of another loon with a knife/gun/bomb? America is loaded with people who have chips on their shoulders, so a few more with a political axe to grind are moot from the start.

Aside from that, disinterest is the best defense against terrorists.

With that said, let's talk about something we can impact: politics.

New York Post:
Donald Trump is gaining support among African-American voters — whose enthusiasm for Hillary Clinton is eroding, a tracking poll released Saturday revealed.
Trump saw a 16.5 percentage-point increase in backing from African-American voters in a Los Angeles Times/University of Southern California tracking poll, up from 3.1 percent on Sept. 10 to 19.6 percent through Friday.
Meanwhile, the same poll showed Clinton’s support among that group plummeting from 90.4 percent on Sept. 10 to 71.4 percent.
As Trump would say, "That is YUGE!"

On top of that, the Washington Post is reporting that Clinton is losing Hispanic support too.

If Hillary loses this election, we can officially call her the worst presidential candidate in history.

In other political news...

CNN Money:
Now that he's been excluded from the first presidential debate, Libertarian Party nominee Gary Johnson is campaigning for a spot at the second one.
"You know, the clock does keep on ticking," Johnson said on CNN's "Reliable Sources" on Sunday.
"Aw shucks, you know I am just happy to be playing in the Super Bowl." That is what the Super Bowl loser usually says before they get beaten. That is what Johnson sounds like here.

On a side note:
And Johnson denied that he and his running mate William Weld are feeling pressure to drop out.
CNN commentator Carl Bernstein said on "Reliable Sources" that his sources indicate Weld is "thinking about dropping out of this race if it looks like he and Johnson might get Trump elected."
Specifically, Weld could "renounce his candidacy and go out and help Hillary Clinton," Bernstein said.
In a statement on Sunday afternoon, Weld responded: "Gary Johnson and I will campaign with all our strength to make that case to the American people from now until November 8th. Under no circumstances will our energies be diverted from our goal of winning the election and serving our country."
To continue the football metaphor, Weld sounds like the team owner who gives the head coach a vote of confidence two days before firing him.

I have a rule of thumb: Never trust a northeastern Republican, ESPECIALLY if they have won an election. In order to win in the northeast, you either have to act like a Democrat, or lie and say you espouse big government. Either way, a northeastern Republican isn't worth the saliva to spit.

Here are just a few names to consider: Donald Trump, Mitt Romney, Michael Bloomberg, Olympia Snowe, and Chris Christie. Add former Massachusetts governor William Weld to this list. These people are unworthy of consideration for any political office above dogcatcher, and I would worry about the dogs.

Back to the debate story...

Liberty Viral:

Here is part of the statement Johnson released to the press:
I would say I am surprised that the CPD has chosen to exclude me from the first debate, but I’m not. After all, the Commission is a private organization created 30 years ago by the Republican and Democratic parties for the clear purpose of taking control of the only nationally-televised presidential debates voters will see. At the time of its creation, the leaders of those two parties made no effort to hide the fact that they didn’t want any third party intrusions into their shows.
While it sounds like sour grapes (probably because it is), Johnson is correct. Think for a second: Why would we need a "Commission on Presidential Debates" anyway, if not to control who gets on the stage? And who would benefit from that? Republicans and Democrats, of course!

Don't believe me? It is actually worse than I am suggesting:

Lifezette:
The men and women who run the supposedly “nonpartisan” Commission on Presidential Debates have put their money where their mouths are — and it all has gone to Democrat Hillary Clinton.
The amount of money is small by the standards of a modern presidential campaign, but it is one-sided. A pair of Ph.D. candidates at Stanford University examined campaign finance reports and found that all of the $5,650 in contributions that commission members have made to presidential candidates during this election season have gone to Clinton.
If you think that rigging is bad, consider this:

Tiffany Hayden:

Ms. Hayden, who I interviewed here, is a Libertarian congressional candidate in Michigan. But she uncovered a rather interesting fact about one of the polls used by the Commission on Presidential Debates:
Libertarian Presidential candidate Gary Johnson will be on the ballot in every state, but the Commission on Presidential Debates has chosen to exclude him because he did not clear an arbitrary 15% average in a set of polls. Most people haven’t heard of him because the press refuses to give him coverage. When I see this happening, I try to hold feet to the fire. WDET-FM, a public radio station in Detroit, refuses to acknowledge Libertarians. I called them out on Twitter, 51 days ago, and despite replying that they’d be giving coverage to all of the candidates, they continue to ignore Gary Johnson -who was just here in Detroit last week! It’s a huge disservice to Detroit. It’s oppression.
CNN has been one of the biggest disappointments. Their polls were used to determine whether or not Gary Johnson met the 15% threshold. Every single CNN poll for the general election excluded Americans aged 18–34. The generation with the most skin in the game! Also, coincidentally, they are the largest demographic that supports Gary Johnson.
How can this poll be taken seriously when it excludes one of the largest demographics in America?

(Here is a link to the CNN poll.)

There is enough evidence here to show a conspiracy against the American public. We have motive, with the CPD members donating to one of the candidates exclusively. CNN has shown its own bias towards Hillary Clinton in their story choices, but even more so as they have manipulated their poll to openly show only older demographics.

By the way, in case you are wondering why the 18-34 demographic was dropped:

Liberty Viral:
In a poll published by Quinnipiac, Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson took second place among 18-34 year-old likely voters in the 2016 general election.
The results read:
Hillary Clinton- 31%
Gary Johnson- 29%
Donald Trump- 26%
Jill Stein- 15%
According to the 2010 U.S. Census, over 36% of the U.S. population is in the 18-44 age bracket (admittedly larger than the omitted polling group). By leaving this group out of the poll, CNN has effectively shut down any third party chances. Even Jill Stein polls at their arbitrary 15% cut-off with this group.

It is clear as to why there isn't an effective third party in this country: The Media has colluded with the two major parties to restrict access from third parties to the political public discourse.

While this isn't illegal, it is unethical in the most extreme way possible.
