Terror and GOP terrors and Gary Johnson: Today's news August 4, 2016

The Sun:
A WOMAN in her 60s was knifed to death and five others injured during a bloodbath attack in central London that police believe may be terror-related.
Witnesses described victims “screaming and covered in blood” following the rampage in which the woman – believed to be a Spanish speaker enjoying a hen do – was brutally knifed around 10.30pm last night.
Other terrified onlookers described the crazed knifeman chasing pedestrians and “lunging for anyone he could see” as police confirmed mental health was a likely factor.
Wait a second! Was this a "terror attack" or a "mental health" attack?
Police confirmed terrorism was "one line of inquiry that we should explore".
So now every random act of violence which occurs will get labeled as a "potential terrorist act"? This is more insane than the guy who committed that knife attack.

CNN:
Donald Trump insisted to a packed audience in Florida Wednesday that the campaign has "never been so well united."
But behind the scenes, an all-out war between the party establishment and conservative base is breaking out -- in the halls of Congress, the fight for control of the Senate and in battleground states -- all threatening the GOP's chances of winning this fall.
Way to go CNN! Tomorrow's headline: "Sun rises! Trump squints!"

They just noticed the Republican civil war? If they were reporting on the American Civil War, we would be at the Battle of Bull Run before CNN ever got a clue.

Fox News:
Voters say the top issues facing the country are the economy and terrorism. They think Donald Trump will handle one of them better than Hillary Clinton, while the candidates tie on the other.

A new Fox News Poll on the 2016 election finds more voters trust Trump than Clinton on the economy (+5 points). He also bests Clinton on handling the federal deficit (+5 points). Those are the only issues where he comes out on top.

It’s a draw on “terrorism and national security,” as the candidates receive 47 percent apiece. In May, Trump led Clinton by 12 points on doing a better job on “terrorism” (52-40 percent).

Equal numbers of voters say the economy and terrorism are the most important issues facing the country today (22 percent each). Education is the only other one to receive double-digit mentions (11 percent). Here’s the rest of the list: race relations (9 percent), the federal deficit (5 percent), health care (5 percent), climate change (4 percent), immigration (3 percent), foreign policy (3 percent), and drug addiction (2 percent).
Not even mentioned in the article, but mentioned in the poll: Clinton beats both Trump and Johnson.

  1. Clinton 44%
  2. Trump 35%
  3. Johnson 12%
That is actually pretty good news for Gary Johnson, even if it isn't getting much coverage by the Media. Or maybe that is WHY it isn't getting any Media coverage?
