Ted Cruz plans Wednesday to announce former Republican primary rival Carly Fiorina as his choice for running mate should he win the GOP presidential nomination, two sources confirmed to Fox News.
Looking for a shake-up, Cruz is set to make the announcement during a 4 p.m. rally in Indianapolis, a day after he was swept by front-runner Donald Trump in five primary contests. The pairing would, theoretically, represent a diverse ticket -- offering the possibility of electing the first Hispanic president and first female vice president. But since Cruz has just been mathematically eliminated from winning the Republican nomination, why would he bother naming a VP candidate? The better question is why would Fiorina even agree to it?
Which is worse: The sunk ship, or the person who tries to jump onto it?
