The Stupidity Tax

I chuckled when I read the statement above, but then it occurred to me that nature already has a "stupidity tax": You can call it evolution, or Darwinism, or natural selection, or just "survival of the fittest". Whatever label you apply, stupidity already does a good job of removing people from the gene pool.

I still remember the study a few years ago (sorry I can't find a link to it) where they showed that since leftists get most abortions, then abortion legalization helped cause Al Gore to lose the 2000 election, and potentially caused leftists to lose other close elections since the 1990's.

Fortunately, the stupidity tax comes in less fateful forms. Consider Obamacare. When President Obama and the Democrats in Congress decided to pass the legislation without any Republican support, it cost them control of the House of Representatives in 2010, and control of the Senate in 2012. The only reason they didn't lose the White House in 2012 was because of the impact of the stupidity tax on the Republicans, who picked "Obama-lite" (aka Mitt Romney) as their presidential candidate.

So beware the stupidity tax. It only gets collected once for each act of stupidity, and there are no deductions.
