Is Trump right about the judge?

Before I start on this story, let me disclaimer this by saying I suspect Trump University is scam playing on Trump's name for profit from stupid people who think they can learn something from him.

That said, it looks like he may have been right about the judge in the case. According to WND.com:

The federal judge presiding over the Trump University class action lawsuit is a member of the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association, a group that while not a branch of the National Council of La Raza, has ties to the controversial organization, which translates literally “The Race.”
U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel, who has been criticized by Donald Trump as a “hater” appointed by President Obama who should be recused from the case, listed his membership in the “La Raza Lawyers of San Diego” on a judicial questionnaire he filled out when he was selected to be a federal judge. He was named in a brochure as a member of the selection committee for the organization’s 2014 Annual Scholarship Fund Dinner & Gala. Meanwhile, the San-Diego based law firm representing the plaintiffs in the Trump University case, Robbins Geller Rudman & Dowd, was listed as a sponsor of the event.
If you aren't familiar with La Raza, it has been accused of pro-Mexican racism in the past. Of course, nobody in the multiculturalist Media will ever complain about reverse racism.

Regardless of what you may think about La Raza, it is clear Judge Curiel has money connections with the plaintiff's lawyers. Trump is right on this one, because the judge should have recused himself.

Count another epic fail for the Media against Trump. What is even worse is the Republicans jumping on Trump for this. First, there was Lindsey Graham, and now spineless Paul Ryan. From CNN:

House Speaker Paul Ryan ripped Donald Trump's recent remarks saying a judge presiding over a lawsuit involving his business was biased because of his Mexican heritage as "the textbook definition of a racist comment."
As he stood surrounded by community activists and top House GOP members, Ryan admitted Tuesday that the firestorm over Trump's comments was undercutting his own push to roll out a positive policy agenda for his party. He said he wouldn't defend Trump but instead would concentrate on his agenda project.
The ignorance of Ryan's comment comes in not recognizing what Trump was saying: Trump was calling out the judge for his La Raza connections. This is no different than calling out a white person for his KKK connections. But don't expect Republican politicians to show any backbone in this situation (or any situation for that matter).

It is time to roll out the bear for both the Media and the Republicans for their shortsighted stupidity, and once again making Trump look golden in spite of himself:
