Today's News June 17, 2016

NBCDFW:
Donald Trump Speaks at Campaign Rally in Dallas

A Trump rally is the main story on Drudge Report this morning? Really? Matt Drudge must be really bored today.

Fox News:
Dozens of US officials call for military action against Syria's Assad

Why do we need to kill more innocent civilians in the Middle East? I understand that isn't our military's intent, but it is what happens. It is well past time for us to stop. Attacking Assad or ISIS won't help anything.

Bloomberg:
The Only Certainty for World’s Central Bankers Is Uncertainty

From the immediate possibility of Britain leaving the European Union to the longer-term consequences of aging populations, the world’s major central banks this week just aren’t sure what to do next.

Officials from the U.S., Japan, the U.K. and Switzerland all opted to keep monetary policy unchanged this week as they await the June 23 Brexit vote and try to make better sense of the deep-seated forces shaping their economies.
But aren't central bankers supposed to KNOW what they are doing? That is why we have central bankers, right? Centralized control of our economy was supposed to make things better, right?

The fact of the matter is that central bankers only blow economic bubbles and pop them. We had that before central banking, which begs the question of why we need them at all.

On top of that, during the last economic crisis, the Federal Reserve only enriched the already too-big-to-fail banks. The amount of money they handed out to banks should have been given to the American people first. It is our money after all.
