If you get your news from Facebook, you probably won't know about this story, from Gizmodo:
Facebook workers routinely suppressed news stories of interest to conservative readers from the social network’s influential “trending” news section, according to a former journalist who worked on the project. This individual says that workers prevented stories about the right-wing CPAC gathering, Mitt Romney, Rand Paul, and other conservative topics from appearing in the highly-influential section, even though they were organically trending among the site’s users.
Several former Facebook “news curators,” as they were known internally, also told Gizmodo that they were instructed to artificially “inject” selected stories into the trending news module, even if they weren’t popular enough to warrant inclusion—or in some cases weren’t trending at all. The former curators, all of whom worked as contractors, also said they were directed not to include news about Facebook itself in the trending module. Then there is this story from ABC News:
The State Department said today it can’t find Bryan Pagliano’s emails from the time he served as Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s senior information technology staffer during her tenure there.
Pagliano would have been required to turn over any official communications from his work account before he left the government. State Department officials say he had an official email account, but that they can't find any of those records he would have turned over and continue to search for them.
“The Department has searched for Mr. Pagliano’s email pst file and has not located one that covers the time period of Secretary Clinton’s tenure,” State Department spokesman Elizabeth Trudeau said today, referencing a file format that holds email.Admittedly, these stories have nothing to do with each other on the surface. But they are exemplary of the progressive mindset, which sees nothing wrong with covering up for a progressive government. Facebook may be a private company, but they happily cover up scandals like the Lois Lerner IRS scandal. That IRS scandal was typical of the views of government workers, where they openly attack private anti-government groups. This is not unlike what the State Department just did with Hillary's tech guy.
It is well past time to recognize the progressive movement for what it is: A vile and underhanded attempt to turn our government into one of George Orwell's nightmares. This is the vast left-wing conspiracy. Enjoy looking at it while you can still see it for what it is.
UPDATE 3:40 pm: I didn't realize how close I was with this comparison, as the Washington Free Beacon points out that Facebook employees love to donate to Hillary Clinton's campaign. Maybe there is a vast left-wing conspiracy?
UPDATE 4:02 pm: The Washington Free Beacon strikes again: "Hillary Rakes in Nearly $75,000 From Justice Department Employees". Add the Justice Department to the vast left-wing conspiracy.
